Attorney at Law Sekou TRAORE
Attorney at Law Sékou Traoré is a member of the Guinean Bar Association (OAG) and a Lawyer at the Court.
Sékou Traoré holds a Master's degree in Law from the Gamal Abdel Nasser University of Conakry. He is also certified by the Centre International de Formation des Avocats Francophones (CIFAF) in Cotonou, Benin.
Sékou Traoré is also an alumni of various continuing legal education programs organized by the Guinean Bar Association, various African Bar Associations and the International Conference of Bars of Common Traditions (CIB).
Sékou Traoré lives the profession of lawyer as a priesthood both in the practice of the profession and in his active participation, through various responsibilities, in the management of the legal profession in Guinea and internationally.
Immediately after his Master of Laws, he started practicing law. First as a lawyer in a law firm with the late Attorney at Law Famoro Sydram Camara from 2003 to 2008 and Attorney at Law Mory Doumbouya from 2008 to 2012, and then as a lawyer after he was sworn in on November 30, 2012.
Although today, due to the volume of his clientele, Sékou Traoré has dedicated his practice mainly to business law, Sékou Traoré has the benefit of a long experience as a jurist and general practitioner who has enabled him to have a perfect knowledge of national and sub-regional judicial procedures as well as those enacted within the framework of the Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa (OHADA).
Former President of the Association of Young Lawyers of Guinea and former Regional Delegate of the African Federation of Young Lawyers' Unions and Associations, Sékou Traoré is a member of the Council of the Guinean Bar Association, Secretary in charge of external affairs and cooperation. In this capacity, he has, among others, successfully negotiated on behalf of the Guinean Bar Association the observer status of the Conference of Bars of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA).
Since December 2019, Sékou Traoré is also a member of the board of directors of the International Conference of Bars of Common Traditions (CIB).
Sékou Traoré's various professional affiliations and his activity within them reflect a natural leadership and an equally natural propensity to transform his international network of lawyers into fruitful cross-border professional collaborations.
